Job Title: Food Safety & Hygiene Manager
Company Profile: A multinational company that deals in the Manufacturing and Production of Nutritional and dairy products, coffee, tea, beverages, chocolate and confectionery
Reports to: Regional Quality Analyst Manager
Main Responsibilities
Management responsibilities will be to:
·         Ensure implementation of Food safety programme as per guidelines, covering all type of food safety risks like Pathogens, chemical contaminants, allergens and foreign bodies in the factory;

·         Review of  HACCP in case of any change in the process/recipe, food safety incident, line/procedure modifications;
·         Review Food safety related complaints and follow up on the corrective actions;
·         Analyze the food safety related quality assurance parameter trends (like EB, FBs etc) to assess and improve the food safety programme.
Functional Responsibilities:
·         The incumbent will be responsible for trending, reviewing & carrying out assessments in
1.    Microbiology & particularly in pathogen monitoring
2.    Chemical contaminants in (Raw/packaging materials & Finished products)
3.    Allergens management
4.    Nutritional  composition of the products
·         Involvement in foreign body prevention measures;
·         Assessment of food safety management system at vendors and vendor audits;
·         Ensure implementation, validation & verification of HACCP;
·         Provide technical assistance for Food Safety issues to other factories including Water, Marketing, Food services, Supply chain, Purchasing etc
·         Assist factory Quality Assurance, Production and Engineering to investigate Food safety related complaints;
·         Review and assess food safety related complaints on monthly basis and analyze the trend for corrective actions;
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:
·         B.Sc. or  MSc  Degree in Food science / Microbiology/ Biochemistry or related field from a recognized university;
·         Minimum 5 years experience in food safety (Microbiology, Chemical & allergen etc), preferably with an FMCG background;
·         Excellent leaderships skills;
·         Excellent interpersonal skills with good relationship building skills;
·         Ability to drive results and obtain information from a team;
·         Self initiative and proactive;
·         A proven team player with creative problem solving skills;
