Field Service Representative - Aerospace Company Job in Kenya

One of the world’s leading aerospace companies seeks to recruit a Field Service Representative (FSR) for its Kenyan clients.

This exciting position requires an experienced resource with an engineering background and significant hands on technical exposure.

The Position

The Fields Service Representative is the liaison between the company and its clients providing technical support in the field, by giving advice and customer training. In part, the job entails sales support and maintaining the administrative function of a field office.

Primary responsibilities
  • Provides field operation and/or support of delivered aircraft.
  • Coordinates the development of routine troubleshooting procedures by using established processes and communicating with functional organizations (e.g., engineering, program office, customer) to isolate equipment problems not detected by tactical diagnostics/documentation.
  • Develops relationships with immediate customers and their senior leadership by communicating and understanding their needs, expectations, and requirements, soliciting customer feedback, and taking action to ensure customer satisfaction with the company's products and service.
  • Provides assistance with the interpretation of technical documents (e.g., orders, manuals, maintenance manuals, operating procedures, drawings, interactive electronic technical manual) by communicating with operators/maintainers to ensure the intent and purpose of the documentation is understood and followed.
  • Documents field site activities by preparing and transmitting reports (e.g., customer/site activity, technical/operational data, problems, publication change requests, continuous process improvement data) to provide status of product/customer issues and developments.
  • Develops and provides solutions to a wide variety of technically complex problems without assistance.
  • Provides specialized on-the-job training to customers.
  • Develops and provides solutions to a wide variety of technically complex problems.
  • Participates on core selling process customer team.
  • Performs business activities and maintains the administrative functions of a field office.
The ideal candidate should have:
  • Be an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
  • At least 7 years hands on experience maintaining large modern commercial planes
  • Have aircraft maintenance experience
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to Airline and local culture
  • Have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
