We seek qualified candidates for the following positions:

Finance and Administration Manager
Location: Nakuru, Kenya

The Finance and Administration Manager will be responsible for the everyday finance and administrative management in APHIAPlus which includes providing supervision support to the finance and administration teams, taking the leadership role in the development of sub-agreement budgets as well as monitoring of sub-recipient financial reports, monitoring the budgets and pipeline of the regional office, supervising procurement and purchases and supervising the capacity building of implementing partners to ensure compliance to USAID rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review of budgets for partner sub-agreements.
  • Reviewing recipient monthly financial reports.
  • Supervising the capacity building of implementing partner accountants.
  • Review and monitoring of the financial records of implementing partners.
  • Monitoring the budgets and pipeline of the regional office.
  • Responsible for the everyday finance and administrative management for APHIA Plus.
  • Supervising procurement and purchases to ensure compliance to USAID rules and regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
  • MBA/MA/MS with 5-7 years of progressive work experience, or BA/Bcom/BS with 7-9 years working experience.
  • Must be a CPA (K).
  • Experience in managing an administrative function, with adequate exposure to project accounting, financial management including budgeting, grants and contracts.
  • Strong experience in grants and contracts is a must.
  • Experience working with an international organization will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and computer skills in MS Office Suite.
Logistics Officer -Warehousing and Distributions
Location: Nakuru, Kenya

The Logistics Officer is responsible for project warehouse operations including receiving, issuance and coordination of stock movement in an effective and timely manner of commodities in APHIAplus Rift Valley.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the project warehouse and stocks and preparation of stock reports in a timely manner as per the project reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing logistics Standard Operating Procedures and practices for the project and ensures maintenance of up to date inventory of warehouse items and timely maintenance of inventory control cards
  • Responsible for receiving, inspecting and verifying all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders and delivery notes and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received.
  • Responsible for Tracking of commodities and reporting of the same as per APHIAplus specifications
  • Responsible for distributing commodities to the respective targeted recipient population as per approved project plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring regular stock count of commodities or items under distribution at the course of distribution exercise.
  • Prepare monthly warehouse inventory report to be shared with the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
  • MA/MS/MBA in relevant with 3-5 years progressive relevant experience or BCom/BA/BS/ with experience in Logistics Management, or Purchasing and Supply Management or MBA with 5-7 years of progressive relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of USAID rules and regulation on procurement required.
