This is a unique opportunity for an experienced analyst who can bring both strategic and tactical anaytical skills in the exciting, hands-on high-growth online sector in Kenya.

Our client is looking for a unique individual with exceptional analytical, presentation and communication skills, and with the ability to partner and support key internal stakeholders within our business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst to move "beyond the numbers" and make a real difference to our executive, marketing, operations and sales teams by proactively contributing to business solutions. You will use your commercial acumen and analytical skills to identify and address key business issues across the business and drive increasing levels of performance and customer outcome.

Your primary focus will be to act as a business partner to our executive, sales and marketing teams, providing information and insights based on wide ranging, robust data, and contributing value adding solutions to identified issues.

In addition, you will be a self-motivated, results focused professional with a proactive approach to problem solving. You will demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Your strategic expertise, consultative and flexible style is essential to instill confidence and build effective business relationships with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a business related field such as Marketing, Finance or Economics. A background in Consumer Goods or management consulting, accounting, or any other industry where low value high volume transaction flow would be highly regarded, however individuals from other backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.


The successful candidate will most importantly be a high-energy self-starter, comfortable working at the beginning in a relatively unstructured early stage environment where you will drive establishing process and relationships whilst achieving great outcomes. You’ll be able to comfortably balance a local Kenyan start-up online culture with the requirements of working with high performance, international colleagues and parent companies.


Responsibilities include:

·         A  50/50 mix of structured analysis / strategy work and ad hoc project analysis
·         Market assessment, customer segmentation, product performance, pricing, utilization rates, staff performance, optimization and traffic analysis.
·         Establishment from the ground up of a culture of data-based decision making
·         Delivery of insights that drive business performance and customer satisfaction
·         Providing close support to the executive, marketing, sales and operations teams.
·         Maintain awareness of trends, business conditions and the changing landscape of the online market and competitors.
·         Make a significant contribution to the company

·         Demonstrated experience in an analytical related field in a corporate environment.
·         Tertiary qualification
