ICPAK Professional Services Director Job in Kenya

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is a statutory body established under the Accountants Act, 2008 for the regulation of the profession of accountancy in Kenya.

The Institute is seeking to recruit top notch quality candidate to fill the position of 
Director, Professional Services.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive the job holder's key responsibilities will be as follows:-
  • Plan the programs and activities of the division relative to its functions
  • Coordinate resources and manage execution of programs

  • Undertake supervision and setting of performance objectives
  • Exercise control by monitoring and evaluating performance of staff on the objectives set
  • Develop and Submit reports to the CEO and Council on various programs in the division
  • Spearhead Innovation at the Institute
  • Enhance members competencies by providing appropriate training programs
  • Contribute to the Financial Growth of the Institute
  • Promote compliance with all standards related to the accounting profession (IESs, IFRS, IPSAS etc)
  • Negotiate, formalize and execute collaborative linkages with other Professional bodies and stakeholders
  • Prepare and dispatch technical response on Technical IFRS issues as may be requested by Media or other stakeholders
Person Profile
  • Must be a holder of a Masters Degree preferably in Accountancy, Finance and related field.
  • Fully qualified CPA with ICPAK membership in good standing
  • Minimum five years experience preferably in academic, research or public audit practice.
  • Well developed intellectual, analytical and diagnostic skills and have broad appreciation of theoretical and practical underpinnings of the accountancy and other related professions.
  • A strategic thinker with excellent leadership organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture and build relationships influence and motivate.
  • Below 40 years of age.
  • Must be computer literate and well conversant with current ICT.
