Coffee Development Fund (CoDF) Public Relations Officer Job in Kenya

Coffee Development Fund (CoDF) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture vested with the responsibility of providing sustainable and affordable credit to coffee farmers.

The Fund invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position:

Public Relations Officer

The Public Relations Officer shall Report to the Managing Trustee.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the CoDF’s communication strategy, publicity plan and marketing activities;

  • Marketing of the CoDF products and services;
  • Prepare and disseminate various publicity materials;
  • Liaise with the media to publicize CoDF activities and maintain positive media relations;
  • Organize and manage CoDF corporate events;
  • Oversee the effective management of the customer care desk;
  • Promote the Fund’s vision and mission in liaison with stakeholders to create a positive organizational image;
  • Handle queries in respect of CoDF from the general public, media, special interest groups etc;
  • implement the Fund’s social and corporate responsibility activities; and
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Managing Trustee.
Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
  • A Bachelors Degree in Communication or equivalent.
  • A post-graduate Diploma in Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Computer literacy and the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • At least four years practical experience in public relations, marketing and customer services in a busy organization.
The successful candidate will be employed on a 3 - year renewable contract.
