Role of Ministry of Public Service
The Ministry of State for Public Service is charged with the following responsibilities:-
1. Formulating human resource management and development policies, rules and regulations in the Public Service;
2. Advising the Public Service on organizational structures, ministerial functions, staffing levels, developing and reviewing schemes of service and career guidelines;
3. Training and building capacity in the Public Service;
4. Initiating and coordinating Human Resource Management reforms in the Public Service;
5. Coordinating Human Resource Management Information Systems;
6. Reviewing, harmonizing and updating the Terms and Conditions of Service for the Public Service; and
7. Providing guidelines and monitoring payroll and human resource records in the Public Service

· To be a leading agency of excellence in public service management and development.
Mission
· To provide policy direction in human resource management and development, advise on appropriate organizational structures, initiate and coordinate human resource management reforms to improve service delivery for sustainable socio-economic development Kenya.
Updating of Biodata
In undertaking its mandate and in fulfilling this Mission and Vision the Ministry of State for Public Services works closely with consultants in the field of Human Resource Management and Development.
In view of ever changing management principles globally, it has become necessary for the Ministry to obtain and update the records of Biodata of management consultants for purpose of mutual collaboration on various Human Resources Management assignments.
Eligible Firms/Consultants in the field of human resource management, human resource development, organizational design, job evaluation, workload analysis, career progression guidelines, staffing analysis and staffing norms, payroll audit and management, human resource information systems, record management, strategic management, public service reforms and related fields are therefore requested to register their profiles and biodata with this office for partnership.
Consultants/firms who are already registered with this Ministry are also required to update their Biodata.
