Position: 
Procurement Assistant

Responsible: Head of Procurement

Main purpose of the job: To assist the head of procurement in ensuring that all procurement procedures have been adhered to.

Job Description
  • Assist in receiving purchase requisition and forwarding to the HOD
  • Prepare all the petty cash request and forward to HOD for signing and approvals
  • Assist the stores clerk with the invoices, checking that all the invoices match with the LPO
  • Prepare all the LPO, invoices and GRN to the finance assistant for payment process and highlight any abnormalities to forward them back to HOD for rectification.
  • Update the IMIS system with the payments.
  • Assist the stores clerk with issues on IMIS system
  • Performs related work as required.
Qualification and experience required
  • Minimum Certificate in Procurement, Supplies and Stores Management.
  • CPS Level 2
  • Experience in a similar capacity will be an added advantage
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Able to meet set deadlines and work long hours with minimal supervision.
