Food Beverage Manager

A state corporation seeks to recruit suitable person for the following position; FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER
The individual will be reporting to the General Manager.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensuring smooth operation of the Food and Beverage Department
· Liaise with procurement section for timely procurement of food and beverage items
· In collaboration with the chef, update and compile new menus taking into account current trends and customer needs.
· Cost and quality controls of Food & Beverage items.
· Be responsible for high standards of hygiene and safety for the restaurant.
· Be responsible for regular asset inventory for tools, equipment and stocks.
· Be responsible for overall management and development of human resources in food and beverage department
· Planning and preparation of budgets for the Food & Beverage Department.
Key Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
· Bachelors Degree or at least Higher National Diploma (HND) in any discipline related to Hotel Management and Food and Beverage from a Government recognized institution preferably Kenya Utalii College.
· Must be at least a form four holder with grade ‘C+’ and above or its equivalent
· Must have at least 5years experience in the hospitality industry
· Should be a hands-on, self motivated and creative and team player
