Our client is looking to fill the position of a Digital Marketing Manager / Development Marketing Manager

Job Title: 
Digital Marketing Manager/Development Marketing Manager

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Leading the digital marketing activities within East and Southern Africa. These will include the overall management of our client’s digital presences across own, bought and earned media as well as the overall optimization of marketing activities within all of these entities.

  • Will be responsible for the digital components of the marketing campaigns as well as their integration to the other marketing formats (such as retail, print, TV, OOH etc).
  • Will utilize the given metrics and analytics for decision making/action and will also orchestrate the implementation and usage of efficient CRM tools within the market.
  • Digital media planning and optimization across display search and other digital media formats.
  • Master performance digital media
  • Community management / WOM marketing / Social media marketing / Blogging
  • Content management & optimization of our Client’s website.
  • Efficient management of the different CRM initiatives within the market
  • Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing.
  • Efficient management of the different CRM initiatives within the market
  • SEO, SEM & SMO
  • Behavioral Targeting / re-targeting / AB testing / Creative optimization
  • Campaign management/creation
  • Digital assets creation / Tagging
  • UAT testing/validation/ editorial management
  • 1-2-1 channel coordination/optimization
  • Mobile marketing / mobile advertising
Relationship with other functions
  • The individual will work closely with sales unit and local cross function marketing teams and sales team to ensure the full sales and marketing alignment
  • He/she will be supported by a larger team that is based both on a sales unit as well as global level.
  • He/she will work very closely with multiple entities within the organization; to identify new opportunities/pilot programs for expanding digital marketing activities beyond the tactics utilized today.
  • This work will serve as a test field for identifying best case practices to be rolled out later within larger marketing context.
General Competencies Required:
  • Must have previous, directly related working experience as well as worked in an industry that has a recognized track record from the field.
  • A deeply rooted passion for digital, creativity and data should be your foundation. Local market understanding is a must and local language skills will be necessary to successfully master this role.
  • Successful outcome requires commitment and support from several parts of the organization and therefore this individual needs to have superior communication, networking and influencing skills combined with the ability to transform complex and often even contradictory requirements into actionable projects. This requires the person to be professional self-starter with entrepreneurial drive, high motivation, goal-orientation with genuine ability to understand the needs of the different constituents.
  • International work experience, excellent presentation skills in English as well as a team player spirit will significantly help in working in the Digital Marketing, MEA team.

Education and/or Experience:
  • BA or BS degree (IT, Marketing, Business Administration or Commerce).
  • Work experience in Digital Marketing.
  • Has worked in a Digital Industry (added advantage).
