The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD Centre) is an independent mediation organization, based in
Geneva, Switzerland dedicated to helping improve the global response to conflict. It attempts to achieve this by mediating between warring parties and providing support to the broader mediation community.

The HD Centre is hiring an Office Manager to support its Regional Director and coordinate activities with
the Geneva headquarters in respect to:
• Finance and reporting: manage administration and accounting of Africa projects; prepare and input general
ledger transactions in the HD Centre system; provide monthly accounting report and weekly/monthly cash forecasts; act as focal point for the collection of annual project budgets and monthly variance reports;
process travel expenses and check compliance with the HD Centre’s guidelines; manage the asset register;
act as the focal point with the auditors for statutory audits;
• Travel and administration: arrange travel and provide logistical support to staff, consultants and invited
guests within the African region in compliance with the HD Centre’s policies; manage events including the
organisation of workshops, conferences and seminars; provide logistical support to the Africa Mediators’
retreat; manage the conference rooms, office supplies and inventory;
• Staff management: in compliance with existing policies, handle personnel administration; maintain personnel files; prepare contracts; supervise administration staff; recruit staff and assist in recruitment of consultants; provide orientation for new staff and consultants; manage employee’s insurance; update and develop human resource policies and monitor their implementation; manage payroll; coordinate employee performance management and handle personnel issues; keep abreast of the latest development in labour law, as well as compliance with local tax and work permit related issues in accordance with the relevant regulations and custom.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; (CPA/ACCA is a plus); 4 years experience in a
similar capacity from an international environment; knowledge of labour laws and employee benefits preferred; strong organizing skills; proficiency in MS Office packages; team player; ability to multi-task and maintain discretion.
