Human Resource Manager Career Opportunity in Kenya

Job Purpose
To manage the human resources function of the Group in a manner that ensures there is a working environment and a skilled and motivated workforce that facilitates the achievement of business objectives and that the Group is in compliance with employment legislature.
Performance Indicators
  • HR Strategy formulated based on the business needs and overall Group strategy
  • HR budget formulated based on the strategy and effectively managed
  • HR policies and procedures developed and communicated clearly to facilitate harmonious working relations
  • Staff recruitment policy and standards for skills and experience set, developed, implemented and available vacancies filled on time.
  • Performance appraisal process planned and coordinated.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a human resources management strategy based on the overall Group strategy to ensure that business objectives are met.
  • Develop and/ or update human resource management policies and procedures including an optimal performance management system and process for Group.
  • Responsible for talent management and mentoring activities consisting of the development and implementation of relevant policies, processes and procedures.
  • Analyse human capital requirements and contribute to the development of the human capital budget.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process of the organisation.
  • Develop and implement a performance management system for the organisation.
  • Conduct learning and development needs analysis based on leadership needs, performance reviews, changing business environment and succession planning.
  • Establish a training and development strategy that meets the organisational needs and develop, design and facilitate training programs and plans.
  • Develop succession plans ensuring talent identification and development.
  • Ensure use of appropriate assessment tools to evaluate both behavioural and technical competencies
  • Devise innovative schemes to make HR function vibrant and dynamic.
  • Develop a Disciplinary procedures and process including appeal processes.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or a relevant qualification
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management will be an added advantage
  • Experience in recruitment and selection services, performance management and employee training.
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
