Beacon of Hope Uganda is looking for a long-term (3-6 months) Development Director intern. Presently, we have a limited staff constantly juggling meetings and program activities and are in need of a motivated individual for fundraising & grant-writing. We are a young organization based outside of Kampala interested in making our community a better place to live. Currently, we are preparing for our first capital campaign and would like to hire someone with proven experience in fundraising.
Uganda is a beautiful country with various cultural opportunities at your doorstep every day. Easily one of the most inexpensive places in the world, a westerner can live comfortably for $400-500 a month including accommodation and all living expenses. At present, our financial situation does not allow for us to remunerate the intern. However, upon a successful probationary period, a small living stipend is almost assured.
