BPO Company Assistant Technical Manager Job in Nairobi

Our Client, a leading Business Process Outsourcing company is looking for an Assistant Technical Manager who can manage the day to day IT operations and support queries on the production floor in all the shifts.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager on a regular basis, the successful candidate will be responsible for;

Key Responsibilities
  • Set deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress for the IT systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future IT system requirements to meet organizational needs.
  • Lead and direct a group of Information Technology staff members.

  • Complete Management of IT infrastructure
  • Manage concurrent IT projects including team resources, vendors, budgets and timelines
  • Provide 24/7 on call support for the IT and Operations team
  • Management of multiple Windows domains environment
  • Provide 3rd level technical support for the IT and Operations team
  • Helpdesk Management
  • Remote management of staff
  • Management of a corporate WAN/LAN infrastructure with sites in multiple countries
  • Management of Voice systems/services and billing
  • Corporate security access
  • Assures quality by complying with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Implementation and enforcement of IT policies and procedures
Supervisory Responsibilities 
  • Directly supervise up to ten employees in the IT.
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work
  • Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Technical Skills and knowledge
  • Enterprise Linux Installation/Configuration/Administration/Troubleshooting
  • Asterisk Based IP PBX Administration/Configuration/Troubleshooting
  • Windows 2003/2008 AD administration/configuration/troubleshooting
  • DHCP, DNS administration/configuration/troubleshooting
  • TCP/IP subnetting and routing
  • Cisco switches, layer 2, layer 3 VLANs management, VOIP integrated LANs
  • Rack servers architecture/troubleshooting/administration ( HP)
  • Structure cabling standards
  • Enterprise Antivirus Troubleshooting
  • MS Office 2000, 2003, 2007, 2010
  • Windows XP, 2007
  • Laptops and Desktops architecture/troubleshooting
  • Software Licensing Administration
  • WAN infrastructure deep technical knowledge to manage carrier management services
  • Footprints Helpdesk administration
Education and/or Experience 
  • Bachelor's degree (B. Sc.IT) or equivalent and five years related experience and/or training
