Food Security & Livelihood Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, motivated, team player for the post of Food Security & Livelihood Project Manager who will be responsible for the design of programmes dealing with Food Security and Agricultural Development.

He /she will contribute to the development and implementation of targeted interventions and provide technical guidance to the filed teams.

Start date: ASAP

Contract Duration:
 3 Months (with possibility of extension)

Based in Wau, Western Barh el Gazal, South Sudan, the PM Food Security/Livelihood will bear the following main responsibilities:

  • Project Cycle Management – Design and strengthen the projects’ methodology and scope.
  • Provide Relevant Technical Expertise – Ensure that technical quality and standards are considered during project implementation.
  • Oversee Programme staff – Guide and direct programme staff.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and oversee staff security.
  • External Representation – Maintain good communications and involvement of all stakeholders
  • Identify Best practises and lessons learnt – Collect information and tools employed for the project implementation
Required Skills:
  • 3 years of project management experience focused on food security or similar field
  • University degree in Project Management, Community Development or related field
  • Strong understanding of community mobilization and engagement
  • Good command on of Computer Programs and Applications
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
