The following two senior management positions – both reporting to the Chief Executive – are available immediately in one of Kenya’s leading asset management companies. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of a major group with diversified interests in the Eastern Africa region.

Unit Trust Manager
- required to increase the funds under management and ensure superior client service.

The successful candidate will provide effective leadership in the management of all functions of this key business unit of the company which markets for funds from existing and potential clients, manages the operations in compliance with the rules and guidelines of the Capital Markets Authority.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for improving customer service and developing new products. A key result area will be moulding a really effective team to ensure a competitive edge.
We are interested in discussing this position with candidates who satisfy the following requirements:,
·         Hold a university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or related fields preference will be given to those who also hold a professional qualification e.g. CPA, ACCA, CFA or Masters degree;
·         Have at least 5 years working experience preferably gained in the financial services sector;
·         Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills;
·         Proven track record in leading a team to achieve and surpass set goals;
·         A person of unquestionable integrity who inspires confidence/trust;
·         Ability to carry out market research and utilize the findings effectively;
·         Good networking in the investment industry and thoroughly familiar with the Capital Markets Authority rules & regulations.
Business Development Manager

With this appointment, our client wishes to not only get more institutional clients but also to retain existing ones by providing a very effective interface between the company and its institutional clients as well as fund administrators, custodians, auditors, actuaries and regulators.
Key duties of the position will include:-
·         Establishing and maintaining regular contact with clients and service providers;
·         Providing timely, up to date information and reports to stakeholders;
·         Dealing effectively and expeditiously with queries and complaints;
·         Preparing tenders and proposals;
·         Developing and implementing appropriate marketing strategies, materials and budgets.
We invite applications from Kenya citizens who have had at least four years experience in business to business selling and negotiations. Applicants should hold a university degree in Commerce or other business related discipline and have well developed communication and presentation skills, a warm outgoing personality and a high degree of
self confidence. A key selection factor will be the candidate’s proven ability to sell to institutional clients.
