2) Site Supervisor /Clerk of Works
Job Ref: SI/2010/MC1
Our Client, a Company based in Kenya seeks to recruit a Site Supervisor to oversee the construction of its new Office Complex in Nairobi. The Engineer will perform technical, organizational and a supervisory role in the construction project, apply designs and plans to mark out the site including setting out drains, sewers and structures involved in construction operations.He will also work as part of the site management team liaising with and working alongside architects, engineers, construction managers, supervisors, planners, surveyors and subcontractors.
He will share responsibility for site security, health and safety, and the organisation and supervision of material and human resources.
Ideal candidates should posses:
Posses a degree/HND in one of the following subjects:
·         civil engineering;
·         structural engineering;
·         building surveying;
·         building engineering;
·         construction studies/Quantity Surveyor
Candidates need to show evidence of the following:
·         knowledge of relevant legislation;
·         communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, e.g. construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers, etc.;
·         a methodical approach, good analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
·         organisational and negotiation skills;
·         strong team working skills;
·         excellent IT skills;
·         project management skills.
3) Workshop Fabrication Manager
Job Ref: WFM/2010/WM1
Our client a leading motor vehicle body builder based in Nairobi requires a workshop manager to head a body building workshop
Ideal candidates should be:
·         Aged between 35-50 years
·         Professional qualification in Automotive Engineering/Fabrication/vehicle Body building.
·         At least 3yrs experience in motor industry in a similar position vehicle Body building/Fabrication.
·         Capable of organizing and controlling a large workshop labour force.
·         High level of integrity and responsibility.
Duties
·         Ensuring that quality workmanship is performed at all times.
·         Seeing that effective operating procedures are in use.
·         Maintaining of basic forms and records pertaining to the Dept.
·         Overseeing the effectiveness of each employee and training.
