Expression of Interest (EOI) for Consultancy Services for Formulation of Concept Papers on Wholesale Hubs, and Tier 1 Retail Markets

The Ministry of Trade invites Expressions of Interest to formulate concept papers for wholesale hubs, and Tier 1 retail markets, respectively, from qualified consultancy firms.
The objectives of these consultancies are to formulate detailed concept papers to guide the establishment of Wholesale hubs, and Tier 1 Retail markets.
Interested consultants may express interest in the formulation of one or both concept papers.
The scope of work will entail carrying out a situational analysis on existing wholesale and retail markets within the country, determining appropriate site & space required, proposing waste and refuse management systems, advising on simple value addition processes, proposing an appropriate exit strategy, and advising on Public Private Partnerships and legal implications.
Interested consultants must provide information required and meet the following minimum qualifications (mandatory) to be short listed:
1. Provide profile of the firm
2. Provide Registration documents of the firm
3. The firm shall provide audited accounts for the last three (3) consecutive years.
4. The firm shall provide evidence of at least three (3) studies for ‘Similar Projects’ in the last 10 years, of which at least one of the studies shall have been undertaken, in the last five (5) years.
5. The firm shall provide professionally qualified personnel to provide the services with the Lead consultant as a minimum requirement.
One original and four (4) copies of the Expressions of interest must be submitted in sealed plain envelopes clearly marked as: “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST NO.MOT/EOI/1/2010-2011 – CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR FORMULATION OF CONCEPT PAPERS ON WHOLESALE HUBS, AND TIER 1 RETAIL MARKETS”
and addressed to:

Or be deposited in the Tender Box located on 17th Floor, Telposta Towers so as to reach the addressee on or before 10.00 am Friday 12th November, 2010. Expressions will be opened thereafter in the presence of applicants and/or their representatives who may choose to attend. Any EOI received after the closure of submission will not be accepted.
