Swiss Government Partial Scholarships for the Year 2011/2012

The Swiss Government has announced the 2011 call for applicants for scholarships to eligible Kenyans for Postgraduate Studies (Research Fellowships and Master Degree).

The areas of study are open except in the Fine Arts and Music.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

·         Must be employed in the public sector including research institutions and parastatal organizations.

·         Be under the age of thirty five (35) years.

·         Must have worked for at least two (2) years since completing their last degree.

·         Have graduated within the last ten (10) years

·         Have proof of contact with a professor of the University of Choice.

·         Must have good and documented knowledge of any of the following languages: French, German or Italian.

Application Procedure

Preliminary application forms are obtainable from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology offices at Telposta Towers, 27th floor or Provincial Technical Training offices. The application forms can also be downloaded from the Ministry’s website www.sciencetechnology.go.ke.

Completed application forms with attached certified photocopies of ID, Academic/ Professional certificates, Transcripts, Birth certificates and other testimonials and a proposal in the area of study should be sent or delivered to:

The application forms should reach the Ministry not later than 30th September 2010.
