Marketing Officer Vacancy in Nyeri

Reporting to the Programme Coordinator, the Marketing Officer will be responsible for all marketing aspects in the programme, including overseeing the formulation of appropriate marketing strategies, tools and tactical execution including pricing and selection of market segments.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and abilities:
  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree (Marketing option), Economics, Business Administration or Social Sciences from a recognized university.
  • A post graduate diploma in marketing or sales
  • A minimum of five years experience in Marketing with proven track record. Those with social marketing experience have distinct advantage.
  • Experience in working with low income rural population
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be computer literate
  • Ability to oversee the development of innovative products for new and existing clients
  • Willingness to work in a rural setting.
Other skills/abilities
  • Excellent planning and problem solving skills

  • Negotiation, presentation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team environment
  • Self starter and energetic
