Kenya Orient Insurance Ltd is a locally owned General Insurance Underwriter with branches in most of the major towns in Kenya.

We seek to recruit talented and experienced personnel to fill the following positions.

Assistant Marketing Manager

Reporting to Head of Marketing and Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibilities;
  • Identifying, vetting and recruitment of quality intermediaries.
  • Conducting routine formal policyholder / intermediaries marketing field audits.
  • Organizing and coordinating regular marketing drives
  • Assist the Marketing manager in ensuring that yearly business acquisition targets for corporate clients are attained

  • Key member of the product development committee charged with coming up with unique, innovative and cost effective ideas to improve the companies offering in products and service delivery.
Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Equivalent
  • Full professional qualification in Marketing or Insurance and 6 years relevant experience.
Branch Manager

Reporting to the Head of Underwriting, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of one or our branches.
  • Day to day administration of the branch operations
  • Ensuring strict adherence to the cash and carry policy
  • Enforcing the set underwriting guidelines
  • Implementing the branch sales strategies
  • Ensuring quality customer service at the branch
  • Vetting of risks before they are accepted in the company books
  • Ensuring that all claims issues reported to the branch are promptly communicated to the Claims Department and supporting documents submitted.
Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Equivalent, ACII or equivalent and 5 year's relevant experience
Claims Executive

Reporting to the Assistant Claims Manager the successful candidate will discharge the following key responsibilities:
  • Opening and acknowledging new claims.
  • Appointment of service providers within the set bench¬marks, reviewing their reports, and processing of claims as necessary.
  • Ensuring payment to policyholders and service providers.
  • Making recommendations on settlements of claims.
  • Preparation of claims reports.
The minimum requirements are;
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
  • Pass in at least two ACII papers and two years relevant experience.
General
  • Candidates should possess above average computer skills in addition to superior communication skills.
