1. Human Resource Manager

Reports to:chief executive

Role\purpose:

To effectively manage, coordinate and administer and implement company policies relating to employees and ensure the smooth running of the company operations.

Responsibilities
  • Administer, manage and coordinate all policies relating to Human Resource function in the company. Advise the management on matters relating to the same and especially in relation to compliance to standard legal and market expectations.
  • Continually and in liaison with the various section Heads, evaluate and give recommendations on updating of systems. As part of the team enhance prioritization of operations.

  • Manage and maintain effective industrial relations. Take charge of all disciplinary matters involving employees and ensure that an ideal grievance handling system is in place to enhance productivity.
  • Liaising with all the section heads, advise and guide on Human Resources matters for enhanced operations and productivity.
  • Oversee and maintain an efficient record management system to insure confidentiality of employee records.
  • Administer all welfare matters relating to employees i.e. staff benefits, staff transport, medical scheme, allowances etc
  • Administer and coordinate the annual performance review process. As a follow up and liaison with the various Section Heads assess the departmental training needs and coordinate the training function.
  • In liaison with section heads identify manpower needs of the organization, carry out job evaluation to justify existing roles and undertake both internal external recruitment.
  • In liaison with the Finance Department administrate the payroll and ensure the remittance of all statutory deductions to the relevant authorities.
  • Ensure effective management and documentation of all staff benefits including annual leave, sick leave e.t.c. for all staff.
  • Administer and take charge of the implementation of changes in terms and conditions of service. This to include transfers, relocations and promotions.
  • Efficiently coordinate and follow up on all insurance renewals and claims arising. Ensure that the process is adequately settled.
  • In liaison with the company lawyer, ensure that any legal matters arising are dealt with promptly.
  • In liaison with relevant Government departments, take charge of the Company’s Health and Safety policy. Ensure that relevant training is carried out and compliance to all requirements is achieved.
  • Take charge of security matters. Ensure that proper procedures are established and followed to enhance safety of all company property and staff. Coordinate and evaluate periodically the security systems and advice accordingly.
  • Any other duties as may be directed from time to time by the Chief Executive.
Educational qualifications:
  • BA in Social Sciences
Professional qualifications:
  • Diploma in Human Resources Management
Experience: Over 5 Years

2. Financial Accountant

Reporting to: Finance Director

Supervising: Senior Accountant-Payables, Senior Accountant-Receivables, Farmers Accountant, Assistant Accountant- Cashier, Accounts Clerk- Office Administrator

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing overall company general ledger ensuring accurate and prompt reconciliations per agreed deadlines.
  • Maintaining updated company accounting records including general ledgers and excellent filing of accounting documents
  • Formulating and managing day to day cash flows and assist Finance Manager in liaising with the banks on funding requirement for the company.
  • Review and approval of all payments including cheque payments, TT transfers and petty cash payments by ensuring all internal controls are met.
  • Review and approval of all sales invoices before dispatch to customers.
  • Managing the company payroll records.
  • Managing the company balance sheet including assets and liabilities ensuring a healthy status.
  • Managing all company tax matters and liaising with Kenya Revenue Authority ensuring full compliance with the taxation law and other statutory requirements.
  • Managing all statutory accounts including but not limited to NSSF, NHIF, KEPHIS,HCDA, KEBS, DIT etc and ensuring deductions and remittances are as per law.
  • Working with external auditors and ensuring statutory audits are done within set deadlines.
  • Liaising with external partners especially customers, banks, suppliers and Insurance companies on related services.
  • Supervising, training, appraising and maintaining a highly motivated team of professional accountants
  • Taking leadership in teamwork within company and finance department
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Finance Manager from time to time.
