Expression of Interest for Agrovet Business Opportunity in Northern Kenya

An International Non-profit making organization involved in humanitarian and development assistance in over 70 countries worldwide to needy communities is seeking applications from animal health technicians and veterinary doctors from Northern Kenya districts of Garissa, Wajir, Mandera and Moyale, who are interested in setting up private Agro-Vet businesses in the region.

Successful candidates will be assisted in accessing business loans and will be provided with business development assistance.

Requirements:

·         Academic qualifications. Minimum certificate in animal health

·         Practising animal health professionals with Agro-Vet shops in the region can apply

·         A commitment to provide animal health services to the pastoralist community

·         A commitment to work in the business fulltime

·         Have resources and are willing to venture into agro-vet business

·         Preferably a member of KALT or KVB as applicable

·         A business orientation in pastoral areas

·         Respected member of the community

·         Can speak fluently in the local languages

·         A person of high integrity and good communication skills

·         Self-confident, ambitious and outgoing personality

·         Willingness to reside in the community
