We are seeking to fill the post of a Project Assistant, ART Training and Knowledge Hub (Ref: – CHR/10/09-12) based at AMREF Headquarters.
Stationed in Nairobi and reporting to the Project Coordinator, the incumbent will provide timely and efficient support to the ART Training and Knowledge Hub project activities.
S/he will support the identification of materials, the Hub’s development, implementation and maintenance to achieve the desired outcomes and impact.
Key responsibilities include:-
  • Obtaining and maintaining information materials on HIV/AIDS and ART for the ART Knowledge Hub;
  • Collaborating with the Resource Centre staff in ensuring that up-to-date HIV/AIDS learning materials are made accessible to the users;
  • Maintaining the inventory/catalogue of all materials available in the physical ART knowledge hub;
  • Assisting in marketing the ART knowledge Hub;
  • Providing secretariat support to the Eastern and Southern Africa Knowledge Hubs Network (ESA KH)
  • Maintaining the ESA KH networks’ website in coordination with the network members.
Key qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Diploma in Health Information Management or other health related fields; preferably with at least 5 years work experience in management of HIV/AIDS information and training programs.
We are looking for an individual with information management skills, excellent computer skills including database and website management, e-searches among others. S/he should have report writing and records keeping skills, marketing skills, critical analytical skills, excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills.
The candidate must have planning and organization skills and be a team player.
