 Institutional Business Development Executive.
Job Overview

The Institutional Business Development Executive will be responsible for prospecting, follow up and signing up new clients as well as ensuring that they are well serviced so as to retain them in the company’s books.
The person will also be responsible for ensuring close liaison with existing clients, service providers and regulators.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare an appropriate marketing strategy and budget as well as developing suitable marketing materials
  • Manage communication to the public through the proprietary company website
  • Prepare tenders and dealing with request for proposal invitations
  • Keep contact with prospective clients to interest them in our products and services
  • Carry out market research and survey to inform business development
  • Identify and following up prospects
  • Complete client sign ups
  • Handle certain aspects of public relations and communications
  • Visit clients regularly
  • Dispatch of reports and newsletters to clients
  • Handle formal and informal contact with clients, other service providers and regulators
  • Handle client and public queries and complaints
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
  • A bachelors degree in a business related field
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience preferably within the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of the legal, regulatory and operating framework of the fund management industry
  • Expertise in use of various computer packages in communication, analysis and brand management
  • An excellent communicator, both written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • A demonstrable track record in business development
  • Knowledge and experience in strategic business planning and management
  • Strategic in vision, and capable of identifying marketing opportunities
