Personal Assistant to the Group Managing Director (GMD) Job Vacancy in Kenya

Our client, a leader in the provision of industrial equipment in the region is looking to hire a Personal Assistant to the Group Managing Director (GMD).
The key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Managing and maintaining the GMDs’/ Office diary/calendar and streamlining requests and coordinating work flow;
  • Organising meetings, appointments and events and arranging travel and logistics related to the meetings, appointments and events;
  • Ensuring the GMD is well-prepared for the meetings and from time to time attending meetings on his behalf;
  • Screening the GMD’s telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them as required;
  • Preparing Board papers right from the idea stage to the final proposal;
  • Taking and circulating minutes in meetings and following through on action points as appropriate;
  • Preparing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;
  • Managing office correspondence and controlling the GMD’s office budgets and
  • Conducting research on companies, both suppliers and customers.

Qualifications
  • Have degree level certification in Office Management
  • Have professional certification in Office Practice
  • Computer literate, highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint with working experience of desktop publishing.
The ideal candidate, aged between 30 and 40 years, someone who will hit the ground running, and who has held the position of personal assistant for a senior manager for a continuous period of not less than five (5) years. A competitive package will be paid for this position.
