Mildmay International HIV Care and Training Program Manager/Technical Advisor Job Opportunity in Kenya

Mildmay International is a Christian NGO specializing in training for HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Treatment and service development.

The aim of the program is to strengthen the capacity of Ministry of Health, Community Based Organizations and medical Training Colleges to increase access to HIV care across the continuum.

Mildmay is currently recruiting for the position a HIV Care and Training Program Manager/Technical Advisor to be based in Kisumu

The position holder will be reporting to the Country Director.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide management, leadership and strategic direction for the Mildmay HIV Care and Training program activities.
  • Provide leadership in defining and delivering technical support to health care workers in health facilities supported by Mildmay,

  • Working with program training team and in collaboration with MOH and other partners to plan and implement training and mentorship activities..
  • Prepare program reports
  • Provide direction and supervision to the ART Training team
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide support for the implementation and improvement of HIV care and training services
  • Participate in development and/or identification of innovative strategies to improve the overall quality of services
Qualifications and skills required
  • Medical Doctor with at least 5 years experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment
  • MPH a plus
  • At least 3 years experience managing HIV/AIDS programs preferably with an NGO.
  • Experience coordinating with Ministry of health, NGOs and Donors
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and analytic capabilities
  • Ability to prepare program reports and other project related documents
  • Experience in training, clinical mentoring and supervision
  • Proficiency in computer applications –Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
