Database Programmer

Applicants must be holders of Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, with Microsoft Certificate Database Administrator from a recognized university. Candidates with Higher National Diploma in related field from a reputable institution will also be considered.

Civil/Structural Engineer
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from a

  • Have at least three (3) years post registration experience in a consulting or construction firm.

Quantity Surveyor
Applicants must be holders of Bachelor of Arts, Degree in Building Economics from a recognized institution. In addition, the applicant must:
  • Be registered with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.
  • Have at least three (3) years post registration experience.
Duties
  • Preparation of bills of Quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction.
  • Preparation and valuation of progress reports on projects.
  • Supervision of projects from inception to completion.
Architect
Applicants must be holders of a degree in Architecture from a recognized University. They should have at least three (3) years practical experience with a reputable organization or Government.
Duties:
  • Must be registered by the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya and be members of recognized professional body.
  • Must be able to prepare designs and produce drawings of building projects in the University construction programmes as well as undertake supervision of these projects during construction.
  • Supervision of projects from inception to completion.
  • Submission of drawings to relevant authorities.
Mechanical Engineers
Applicant must be holder of Bachelor of Science degree in Building Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
from a recognized Institution.
In addition, the applicant must:
  • Be registered with relevant professional body

Duties:

Graduate Architect
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification from a recognized university with three (3) years experience.
In addition the applicants must be able to: -
  • Prepare sketches/scheme designs
  • Produce drawings
  • Interpret brief requirements and post contract administration
Interior Designer
Applicant must be holder of Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from a recognized Institution.
  • Must have at least three (3) years experience.
Duties:
  • Prepare interior design for all the proposed works.
  • Supervision of projects from inception to completion.
Architectural Assistant
Applicant must be holder of diploma in Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Must have at least three (3) years practical experience and having worked in a reputable Organization as an Architectural Assistant.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in the following Architectural softwares: Archicad, Art-lantis  render/Piranesi or any other.
  • Those with higher national diploma in related field will have an added advantage.

  • Day-to-day administration of the Department.
  • Supervision of all practicals and demonstrations for the students.
Grade E/F
Applicants must be holders of B.Sc. Degree in the relevant area or its equivalent from a recognized university.
Candidates with Higher National Diploma in related field from a reputable institution will also be considered.

  • Have at least five (5) years relevant working experience in a busy Laboratory as a Technician in a university or Research Institution

Terms of Service:
Terms of service for teaching posts of lecturers and above include membership to a pension scheme, a generous
medical scheme, housing allowance and commuting allowance.
Other posts will be on performance based two (2) year renewable contract plus gratuity at the end of the contract, a generous medical scheme, housing allowance and commuting allowance.
