Our client, The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) is Kenya’s premier tea organization providing management services to the small scale tea sector for effective production, processing and marketing of high quality tease Currently KTDA manages 57 tea factories.

To ensure continued success and growth, KTDA is now seeking to recruit dynamic and results oriented professionals to join their management team in the following positions based at the Head office, Nairobi.
Head of Factory Accounts

Reporting to Finance and Strategy Director, the successful candidate wil be in charge of implementation of internal control systems and provision of financial information and accounts to Factories Boards for effective decision making.
Job Profile
  • Ascertaining proper and optimal control systems and monitoring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Liaising with other departments on formulation of systems and procedures for proper financial management control.
  • Attending to factory companies board meetings and presenting financial reports.
  • Handling both external and internal audits and responding to audit queries.
  • Ensuring proper costing of products and services.
  • Ensuring completion and submission of the statutory returns as per law.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Preparing timely and accurate management reports and accounts.
Person Profile

  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA(K).
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar environment 3 of which should be at a management level.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity.
Treasury Manager

Reporting to Finance and Strategy Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for effective management of surplus funds as per approved policies and procedures.
Job Profile
  • Projecting cash flow requirements for the company.
  • Identifying surplus funds available for investment and placing as per approved policies and procedures.
  • Processing of payment documents as per approved procedure.
  • Ensuring selling of forex funds as per approved investment policy.
  • Ensuring safety of the funds during placement.
  • Collecting and analyzing data in the market before placing investment.
  • Ensuring maintenance of accurate books of investment funds.
  • Making required financial information available as per approved policies.
  • Ensuring timely collection of tea sales proceeds as per approved policies.
  • Ensuring timely procurement and storage of FDS receipts.
  • Analyzing investment opportunities and advising the management the area with high returns.
  • Advising management on sales and forward exchange rate.
Person Profile
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA(K).
  • Minimum 7 Years experience in finance, 4 of which should be in treasury management.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity.
