International Finance Corporation (IFC) Operations Officer– Sub Saharan Africa Job Vacancy

IFC PEP Africa advisory services in Sub Saharan Africa is recruiting an experienced Operations Officer in the Africa Leasing Facility (ALF) team to manage the growing portfolio of leasing projects in East and West Africa. This is a local hire, coterminous term appointment with an initial duration of two years, subject to probationary review and confirmation in post at the end of year one.

Frequent travel will be required.

The selected candidate will

(i) lead the ALF programs in Sierra Leone and Liberia;

(ii) oversee ALF’s follow-up activities in Tanzania and Rwanda;

(iii) be a legal resource on the ALF team, analyzing commercial laws and policies, coordinate the drafting of Leasing Laws and regulations;

(iv) develop the investment pipeline in countries where ALF is playing an active role;

(iv) and act as liaison for ALF with the Africa Leasing Association.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced operations officer with strong legal and business development skills. An advanced degree in Business, Economics, Law, International Development or related fields is required.

The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience especially in leasing, financial regulatory reform, and financial management.

Solid people and project management skills are required, including demonstrated ability to manage staff, consultants and projects across the region.

Strong client orientation is also required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
