HIV/AIDS Program Manager: Kenya Episcopal Conference-Catholic Secretariat Job in Kenya

The Kenya Catholic Secretariat is looking for a position of HIV/AIDS Program Manager.

This position exists to build the capacity of KEC and the Catholic Health Commission in oversight of Clinical HIV/AIDS programs and to improve the profile of KEC HIV&AIDS services.
Description of Work
  • Participates in technical assistance activities- Site Visits, Training and Mentorship activities.
  • Maintains open lines of communication between partners
  • Participates in project evaluations and assessments
  • Participates in the planning and facilitation of technical workshops
  • Assess readiness of health units to initiate HIV/AIDS programs.
  • Ensures compliance of projects to national guidelines and policies.
  • Representation at Program Meetings and stakeholder forums
  • Participate in Support Supervision Activities
  • Make recommendations for improvement of HIV & AIDS Services
Required Qualifications/Skills

  • A Catholic with a recommendation from his/her parish priest
  • Medical Doctor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine
  • Masters Degree in Medicine or Public Health
  • Computer literate
  • 3 years experience in HIV/AIDS Programming
  • Knowledge of the Kenyan health sector-strategies and policies a must.
  • Experience in implementing US Government-funded projects an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership, and training/mentoring skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time within Kenya
