A well established non deposit-taking microfinance institution with branches in major cities in Kenya seeks the services of a professional funding consultant to help raise working capital.
The MFI has experienced rapid growth over the last 5 years and is currently seeking private funds, either inform of debt and/or equity capital to finance its capacity expansion in order to meet the increasing demand for its unique services and products, and effectively implement its Strategic Plans.
The MFI seeks to raise a minimum of USD 1.5 million either locally or internationally.
The Consultant
The consultant could either be an individual or a corporate entity.
Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrate capacity to raise funds for Microfinance Institution or its equivalent.
- Ample experience in raising funds from MIV (Microfinance Investments Vehicle) and/or any other sources, with a recent project of private funding within the last 3 years.
- Has thorough knowledge of banking or microfinance industry.
- Sound and solid track record in raising of funds.
- Understands the Kenyan microfinance industry.
- Ability to explore, evaluate and implement appropriate funding initiatives that suites the client’s needs.
- Ability to present top of the range business proposals, financial proposal and solid business plan.
