Development Media International (DMI) Radio Producers Jobs in Kenya

Development Media International (DMI) works to promote health in the developing world through the use of media.
DMI is currently seeking radio producers as part of an upcoming maternal and child health campaign in Nyanza province.
The campaign is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID).
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Radio producers will be required to generate programme ideas and lead the production process for a range of public service announcements and interactive call-in programmes.
  • Producers will research, write, record, translate, edit or adapt radio programmes, whilst ensuring that the programmes meet the campaign brief and agreed technical and artistic standards.
  • Frequent travel within Nyanza is required to gather recordings and find contributors.
Requirements:

  • Extensive radio production experience and full conversance with latest production-related technology.
  • Evidence of creativity and enthusiasm for generating new ideas are absolute prerequisites and will be highly valued.
  • Knowledge of maternal and child health issues and Luo language skills are desired.
  • Producers will be based in Kisumu for 9 months.
