Group Marketing Director

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for insightful and creative thought leadership, spearheading marketing programs and leading all CSR and external communications for the Group.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Ensure effective, marketing communication across all brands, channels and categories;
  • Research and anticipate lifestyle trends, new markets, locations and geographies that will add value to the business;
  • Advise General Managers on emerging innovations, standards and competitive mix in all segments that the company targets;
  • Research and evaluate new products and brand opportunities, customer needs and insights;
  • With Retail General Managers lead the development of sales campaigns, programs, collaterals and packaging to ensure ensuing incremental revenues;
  • Work alongside the advertising agency for creative and cost efficient advertising;
  • Ensure up-to-date analysis on consumer trends to increase traffic across stores;
  • Spearhead the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and programs for the Group;
  • Any other duties as delegated.
The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • A minimum of 10 years previous experience in brand and corporate level marketing at senior levels in a blue chip environment;
  • Demonstrable experience in developing large scale marketing campaigns on either the client or agency side, with good knowledge of creative development and agency management;
  • Clear entrepreneurial vision and creative flair;
  • Demonstrate senior level business management, interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills;
  • Demonstrable ability of working across the group and driving results across external and internal constituents;
  • Passion for finding new models for connecting with consumer audiences;
  • Possess a Masters degree in Business Administration with certification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, or equivalent association;
