Reporting to the ICT Manager, your key responsibilities will be:-
- To facilitate the execution of key objectives of the ICT function.
- Assist in the determination of the Department’s long term plans and development of its policies.
- Administering, Configuring and Troubleshooting of Servers based on Microsoft windows and IBM AIX environments; problem resolution and escalation of Server issues.
- Manage and Monitor the Network platforms consisting of switches, routers and wireless connections.
- Implementation of tactical systems’ enhancements, upgrades and systems patching.
- Liaise with users, hardware and software vendors and internal systems owners to fine tune systems in place.
- Backup operations and testing of disaster recovery procedures on all business applications.
- To review and analyse the IT systems in use from time to time and implement additional functionalities for optimization of output to meet User requirements.
- Maintenance of upto date Systems documentations, policies and procedures.
- Technical support for assigned company initiatives and projects.
- Participation in feasibility studies and testing for new IT applications.
- Involvement in IT initiatives.

- An Information technology, Information Systems or Computer Science Degree or equivalent.
- MUST BE PROFICIENT in Ms SQL database Management and Administration and UNIX systems Administration in addition to some fundamental knowledge in windows platform and Programming.
- Must have a Certification in MCSE, MCSD or CCNA.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of Windows 2003 Server and IBM AIX Operating Systems.
- Hands-on experience in one of the mainstream ERP’s will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Systems/Network/Database Administrator/Analyst in a multifaceted business environment with integrated/mixed Windows and UNIX server environment preferably in a FMCG Industry and 5 Years overall IT experience.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications is critical especially in MS Access and Excel.
- Attention to detail with good analytical skills, initiative, drive and a keenness for quality.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision under tight deadlines/schedules.
- A proven team player with excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
