Media Manager
Ref: MKT_MM _ JUNE_2010
Reporting to the Senior Manager; Media and Communication, the job holder will be required develop an optimum media mix for the Safaricom brand and relevant points of contact with the subscriber market, manage all advertising and promotions of Safaricom advertising media and ensure seamless execution of media campaigns.
The job holder’s key responsibilities will be to:
  • Manage the briefing, development and implementation of media executions in line with company norms and analysis of competitor advertising activity;
  • Coordinate internal trafficking, advertising and promotions message management;
  • Monitoring and prepare reports on the expenditure of the advertising budget and competitor activities;
  • Coordinate advertising media activity with other functions within the business.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Degree in marketing or Business administration;
  • 5 years experience in a marketing function with a focus on advertising media management;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills;
  • Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
  • An excellent planner and organizer.
