Medair Construction Invitation to Tender

Requirement: Development of Borehole, Construction of Water Storage and Distribution System in Reggo Payam, Terekeka County, Central Equatoria State
Deadline for response: 1200 hrs (noon) Friday June 11, 2010
Detail: Medair, an international NGO, is planning to develop a high-yield borehole and construct a water storage and distribution system in Reggo Payam, Terekeka County in Central Equatoria State (Southern Sudan).
In the past two years, Medair has drilled four successful boreholes in the region, while encountering ten other dry boreholes. The villages in this region do not have adequate water access, and are struggling to eradicate Guinea Worm. This project will provide water for approximately 6,500 people. Water will be pumped from the borehole to two 18m3
storage tanks, for distribution via gravity to six water points.
The entire project, including supply of materials and construction work, should be accomplished within 10 weeks from the date of the award of the contract.
Hereto, Medair invites interested and competent contractors and companies to submit their bids through either:
1.     Medair Southern Sudan Support office in Nairobi at George Padmore Road, off Kindaruma Road, next to Gemina Courts, or
2.     Medair Southern Sudan Juba office located in Hai Matara Airport View across from the Bross petrol station.

Sealed tender documents must be received in either Medair Nairobi or Medair Juba office on or before 1200 hrs on Friday June 11, 2010.
