Kenya Orient Insurance Ltd is a fast growing insurance provider with branches in major towns.
To ensure sustainable growth we are seeking a dynamic and talented professional to establish an Internal Audit function.
Reporting to the board, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and executing independent audits in the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing audit work plans
- Identifying and investigating possible risk areas for reporting to the management.
- Reviewing and updating audit programs procedures
- Performing audits including systems development audits and making appropriate recommendations.
- Reviewing internal control procedures.
- Liaising with external Auditors on audit issues.
Qualifications/ competencies / experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following;
- A bachelors degree in commerce or equivalent from a recognized university
- CPA(K) or equivalent
- CISA qualification
- Seven years experience in internal audit or in professional audit firm.
- Above average Computer literacy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
