Terms of Reference for Consultancy Services for Development of a Strategic Plan Year 2010-2015
Background Information
Kwiminia Community Based Organisation (CBO)) was registered in the year 2006 with a goal to promote sound environmental conservation initiatives and improve the livelihoods of the needy people in Kiteta and Waia location.
The CBO is seeking the services of a Consultant to provide lead in development of a five year Strategic Plan.
Goal
The goal of Kwiminia C. B. O is to support poverty reduction activities and community based environmental management projects that address local environmental problems on demand driven basis.
The Scope of the Service
The scope of the services shall include but not limited to the following:
- Develop framework to collect information and build on the same to develop a Five year Strategic plan for the CBO
- Facilitate stakeholders meetings during the strategic plan’s process
- Preparation of this document in a scope of four weeks from now
- Present both and soft and copies of the strategic plan to the organization.
Expected output
- Reports of the various meetings conducted through the process of dev eloping the plan
- A complete five year strategic plan
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- At least a masters degree in Project Management or any other relevant social science course
- At least ten years experiences in NGO strategic planning
Requirements
1. Provide detailed company profile
2. Provide a copy of certificate of registration
3. Must provide a copy of valid KRA Tax compliance Certificate
4. Provide detailed proposal with a detailed Work plan and budget for this work
5. Two reference letters on strategic plans conducted for Kenyan NGOs in the last 3 years.
