Concern Worldwide seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Kenyan nationals for the following positions to
be based in various parts of the country:
Nutrition Project Manager
(2 Positions)
Location: Various locations Duration: 1 year
Reporting to: Concern Kenya Nutrition Programme Coordinator (Nairobi-based)
Job summary:
  • To provide technical leadership, guidance and training to the MoH (Ministry of Health) staff and to Concern Worldwide nutrition programme partners in the District of work in the implementation of CMAM (Community based Management of Acute Malnutrition) programme and to document the process.
  • The Nutrition Project Manager will be tasked with the full-time management of this programme, including supervision of one or more project officers.
Education

  • A nursing or nutrition degree is essential.
  • A master’s degree in Public health or Nutrition is desired.
Essential Experience and Skills
  • At least five years’ experience with at least two year’s experience in a supervisory role
  • Significant experience/knowledge of MoH systems at the provincial and district level
  • At least one year experience in IYCF and micronutrient interventions
  • Experience of programme planning, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Knowledge/experience of challenges of working with and through local partners
  • Experience of nutrition assessment, including surveys, rapid assessments, and surveillance
  • Computer and report writing skills
Nutrition Project Officer
(4 Positions)
Location: Various locations Duration: 1 year
Reporting To: Nutrition Programme Manager
Job Summary: To provide hands-on support to the MoH (Ministry of Health) staff and other partners/community groups to enhance their capacity and knowledge in the management of acute malnutrition and preventive nutrition services.
Education
  • A nursing degree or a nutrition degree with strong clinical background
Essential Experience and Skills
  • Three years experience
  • At least one year experience in IYCF and micronutrient interventions
  • Experience/knowledge of MoH systems, particularly at the provincial and district level
  • Knowledge/experience of the challenges of working with and through local partners.
  • Familiarity with/experience in the public health approach
  • Computer and report writing skills
  • Fluent in English
