CARE International in Kenya is looking for dynamic and highly motivated individuals of high moral character and professional integrity to fill the position of Administration Coordinator in Dadaab.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Admin & Support Manager, the Administration Coordinator will be responsible for Planning, Co-ordination, supervision and implementation of all Administrative functions for project support to the three CARE Dadaab camps and the Dadaab main office.
He/she will be In charge of project asset management, fleet management, communication among other responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Identify all administrative requirements for the projects and prepare administrative proposals for donor funding.
- Ensure that fleet servicing schedule is followed and all fleet serviced in time.
- Ensure that all vehicle licensing is done in time.
- Ensure that the project fleet is utilised for project activity implementation.
- Ensure that flight booking is done on time for project staff.
- Develop an inventory data bank.
- Maintain a non expandable assets register and establish assets beyond repair and recommend them to management for disposal.
- Ensure regular servicing, maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Ensure availability of cost effective communication equipments and systems for the project.
- Ensure timely payment of bills and regular repair and maintainance of communication equipments.
- Supervision of administrative staff.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- A Degree in Business Administration or related field. Those with a degree in social sciences and a Diploma in business administration will also be considered.
- Management experience of at least 3 years at a senior level in a refugee or related field.
- Computer Literacy in spread sheets (excel) and Ms word
- Must posses Financial and people management skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure in response to changing needs.
- Ability to establish and implement sustainable office systems.
- Practical experience in working with HF and VHF radios.
- Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills.
- Good oral and written reporting skills
