The Standard Group, a multi-media house comprising The Standard newspapers, KTN, PDS and soon to be Radio Maisha seeks to strengthen its editorial function due to sustained growth in business.
In this regard, an opportunity has arisen for the following position:
Sub Editors
The Person
If you believe you have the energy, ability to work irregular hours and can make quick decisions coupled with an eye for detail and excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills then you are a potential candidate for this position.
Role of the Position
You will be part of our Editorial team under the overall direction of the Editor with the following roles:

• To prepare editorial copy allocated by the Editor.
• To re-write the copy as necessary for simplicity, clarity, & accuracy.
• To edit pictures selected to go with particular stories.
• Quality subbing and properly presented stories/articles.
• Timely delivery of articles.

Expertise and Experience

• University degree with a bias in English or Mass Communication
• Training in Journalism
• Minimum of two years experience.
