Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) Vacancy Announcement: Accounts/Information Technology (IT) Assistant

The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) is a national, non-governmental organisation (NGO) with a mission to promote, protect and enhance the enjoyment of all human rights for all individuals and groups.
We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented individual to take up the position of Accounts/Information Technology (IT) Assistant
Purpose of the Job
This is a challenging position that requires diverse experience in accounting and computer systems.
The incumbent will be expected to:
  • Manage receipts, payments and petty cash;
  • Manage fixed assets;
  • Inventory management in a computerized system
  • Provide IT support by ensuring applications and systems are in operation for the entire organisation.
Competencies Required

  • A university degree in a relevant field;
  • CPA Part II minimum;
  • Knowledge of and experience in using computerised financial systems, particularly Pastel;
  • A minimum of two years’ relevant work experience in financial and administrative work, preferably within an NGO;
  • A diploma in computer science/IT;
  • At two years hands-on experience in supporting users on a LAN;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili;
  • Licensed driver with at least 1 year continuous driving experience.
