Our client is a leading logistics company involved in proving transport and clearing services in the region. The company seeks to recruit a General Manager who will be responsible for the overall effective and efficient policy management of the Company.
The position holder will be based in Mombasa.
The Position
The position holder will be reporting to the Board of Directors. He/She will be responsible for the overall management of all the operations of the company.
Key responsibilities will be:
  • Providing leadership and strategic visioning that will ensure the Company achieves its overall objectives.
  • Developing, leading and managing an effective management team that is accountable for its performance to the Board.
  • Designing and Implementing Strategic Business Plans and associated budgets;
  • Implement Directors’ strategic initiatives to ensure continued growth and profitability for the Company.
  • Ensure that the Company defines and implements corporate policies and procedures as recommended to and approved by Directors.
  • Representing the interests of the Company and its shareholders to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure implementation of departmental policies, goals and objectives.
  • Monitoring performance data and goal achievement to determine areas that need cost reduction and improvement.
The Ideal Candidate should have;

  • A University Degree in Business Management or its equivalent
  • 3-5 Years Experience in Senior Management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong Knowledge of Human Capital Management
  • Good Interpersonal, Communication and Co-ordination skills.
