FIDA Kenya Finance Manger Job in Nairobi

FIDA Kenya seeks to recruit suitable candidate to fill the following vacant position:-
Finance Manger (to be based in Nairobi office)
Duties:-
  • Provision of leadership, training and supervision to the Finance team.
  • Provision of timely and sound advice to the management on financial matters.
  • Review and implementation of financial policies, systems and procedures as per established guidelines.
  • Ensuring adequate control and monitoring of the utilization of financial resources and statutory reporting.
  • Timely preparation and submission of financial reports to development partners in line with grant agreements.
  • Coordination, preparation and review of annual budgets for all programmes in line with the organizational strategic plan.
  • Management of the annual audit process in compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Monitoring and approval of payments in accordance with approved budgets.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications and Attributes:

The ideal candidate should at least posses the following qualifications and attributes:-
  • Hold a Bachelors degree from a recognized University majoring in Accounting, Finance, Commerce with Accounting option or its equivalent in related fields. An MBA is an added advantage
  • A professional qualification of ACCA, CPA (K) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in accounting or finance required.
  • Experience in managing donor grants.
  • Knowledge of statutory regulations and strong financial management skills.
  • Should posses computer skills and must have operated in a computerized accounting system.
  • Experience in developing financial and internal control systems.
  • Ability to perform independently under strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Should be self motivated, a team player, result oriented and with high level of integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and good presentation skills.
