Program Enhancement Coordinator 
To be based in Nairobi
Purpose of the position:
 To effectively lead and coordinate the respective Branch Design Monitoring & Evaluation (DM & E) operations in order to promote learning; provide guidelines and standards for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all Branch based program interventions and; ensure compliance with relevant norms and policies.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate the successful roll out and implementation of all DM & E related initiatives at all three operational levels (Integrated Program Area, Sub Branch and Branch);
  • Ensure that Program Enhancement related activities regarding measurements, design, redesign, monitoring, evaluations and other DM & E interventions are successfully implemented and that relevant learning is documented, disseminated to staff and used to inform future DM & E guidelines and decisions;
  • Develop fully cross-functional and effective working relationships between and amongst DM & E and program staff at all levels of operations;
  • Provide support to Integrated Ministry Quality ( IMQ), program enhancement unit to establish, coordinate and/or consolidate the necessary systems, procedures and support services required to achieve or surpass performance targets in relation the program quality standards;
  • Ensure the appropriate use of information management systems for all branch programs and projects in order to enhance and inform design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation activities;
  • Model effective, principled leadership to and directly manage all staff working under the Performance Enhancement Teams at both Branch and Sub Branch levels and;
  • Impart appropriate mentoring, coaching and supervision in order to equip, motivate and empower a new generation of program quality employees within World Vision Kenya (WVK).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized University. An advanced degree is preferred;
  • A minimum of 7 years experience with regards to the designing, planning, implementation, supervising and reporting on integrated development, relief and/or advocacy projects;
  • At least 5 years experience as a manager;
  • A results orientated leader who can handle a heavy work load as well as manage and satisfy multiple and at times conflicting organizational, donor and other stakeholder demands;
  • Solid public relations skills and be a strong team player; and
  • Complete compatibility with WV’s mission, ethos, policies and core values.
Internal Audit Manager 
To be based in Nairobi
Purpose of the position:
 To provide leadership to an Internal audit function that performs financial, operational, system and process audits of the organizations operations and projects. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing an independent management appraisal system for the office that will provide management with the assurance that the financial and operational transactions are in compliance with relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning, executing and completion of audit field work according to established schedules; recommending control improvements that may include operational enhancements or efficiencies,
  • Develop audit plans for all the programs and projects, and forecast the audits to be done for the next three years;
  • Ensures that the audit programs and work practices in the department are in compliance with the relevant standards;
  • Advice management on the formulation of risk management strategies and policies and all operations areas of the organization
  • Execute an efficient and effective audit approach and ensure that all assigned work is completed according to schedule and within the established budget parameters;
  • Provide strategic leadership and supervision of internal auditors;
  • Plan for and maintain Continuous Professional Education (“CPE”) for all Internal Auditors;
  • Participate in capacity building sessions where he/she trains other staff in internal controls and financial audit processes;
  • Establish effective business relationships within the organization and assist management in the understanding and adaptation of internal control principles;
  • Assist in International audit assignments as required by the Regional Audit Manager;
  • Conduct special reviews/investigations as they may arise;
  • Maintain a current knowledge base of the audit industry practices to ensure that best practices are always considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or business related studies.
  • Must have full accounting qualifications in ACCA, CPA or other internationally recognized accounting qualification. CIA or CFE desirable.
  • Must have prior auditing experience of not less than six years in an internationally recognized organization. Two of these should be at a senior supervisory level.
  • Experience in accredited audit firm will be an added advantage.

  • Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of computerized accounting systems. Working knowledge of Sun Systems is desirable.

Global Child Health Campaign Officer 
To be based in Nairobi
Purpose of the position:
 To lead in the delivery of the Child Health Now campaign at the national level, liaise, support, and work closely with colleagues involved on the issue of health and community empowerment nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing cost-effective campaigning activities to maximise political impact;
  • Representing WV at external events; external contacts building and networking;
  • Manage the integration of the GCHC into other areas of Ministry;
  • Support the development of advocacy campaign capacity in specific areas across the World Vision partnership;
  • Support the Regional Office and National Office advocacy leaders in integrating GCHC Strategy objectives into regional and national level strategic planning processes;
  • Manage the institutional public engagement on child health.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. A Masters Degree added advantage;
  • At least 5 years experience in campaigning, advocacy, lobbying and communications;
  • Experience of developing this capacity in other people;
  • Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking;
  • A successful track record in coordinating / managing advocacy campaigns;
  • Experience engaging decision makers in government;
  • Practical advocacy and campaigning experience in the development field;
  • Ability / experience of managing a network;
  • Strong commitment to WV Values, Mission and Vision.
Policy Research and Advocacy Officer 
To be based Nairobi
Purpose of the position:
 To ensure effective policy engagement of WVK that leads to suitable policies and legislation that addresses child well being outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify policy gaps for research and analysis in line with WVK strategic focus;
  • Undertake evidence based research on relevant policy issues, carry out analyses on policies, produce the findings for WVK and partners’ interventions;
  • Draft abstract policies and legislations, proposed amendments on bills and legislations on policy issues;
  • Proposal development, report writing, and resource acquisition;
  • Develop and maintain effective database of researches on policies done by WVK and facilitate access and utilization of such materials;
  • Production of research and development Journals;
  • Facilitate participation and engagement in policies and policy development processes;
  • Capacity building on Policy research, analysis, advocacy and Community Based Performance Monitoring;
  • Facilitate strategic coalition, network building and enhancement of relationships on public accountability;
  • Monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the CBPM Programme and documenting best practices;
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelors Degree in sociology, development studies, political science or law. A Masters Degree will give an added advantage
  • Five years international development experience, with two years in research, policy and advocacy in Kenya with an NGO;
  • Experience in research and strategy development; networking, design, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Keen sense of gender equity and justice;
  • Working knowledge of child sponsorship and child-focused development;
  • Full ability to communicate cross-culturally and work in cross-culturally sensitive manner;

Health, HIV/Aids Response Project Officers 
Field based positions
Purpose of the positions:
 To provide overall coordination of the health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS projects aimed at contributing to improved children wellbeing outcomes within the respective WVK Integrated Program Areas (IPAs).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective, innovative and strategic coordinating role in Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS project management at IPA level;
  • Design appropriate strategies for IPA specific Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS interventions;
  • Develop and support effective linkages and collaboration with Key structures and stakeholders to improve child health and social outcomes;
  • Responsible for Health, HIV and AIDs Response (HHAR) project implementation, monitoring, evaluation, documentation and dissemination of promising practices;
  • Coordinate/Conduct capacity building of partners to enable them effectively intervene in the area of Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS;
  • Represent WVK and Participate in networking meetings/workshops/conferences with GoK and other stakeholders at the District level;
  • Mobilize community for the uptake of Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS project interventions;
  • Take a lead in building IPA staff and community’s capacities in health, nutrition and HIV&AIDS programming.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelors degree in Public health, Environmental health, Nursing Sciences, Nutrition or their equivalent.
  • Additional training in Community health will be an added advantage;
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in Health, and/or Nutrition and/or HIV&AIDS projects at community level with bias to Child health (IMCI), malaria control, and HIV&AIDS programming;
  • Experience in some or all HIV&AIDS interventions;
  • Strong commitment to WV Values, Mission and Vision.
