The Health Department of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) through Managed Health Care Program intends to strengthen its ICT section and specifically the Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) Project. The E LCT comprises of 20 Dioceses which are running about 23 hospitals and over 160 dispensaries and health centres, providing health care within a range of about 15% of the national health services in Tanzania.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation and maintenance of HMIS platform in various health centers in Tanzania Provide supportive supervision to Hospitals that run the HMIS project
'Use personal skills in programming to customize and bug-fix software once needed Provide technical support to other ELCT staff members
Provide trip and monthly reports to the project management
To plan, coordinate and conduct trainings when required

REPORTING AND RELATIONSHIPS
The TSS shall be directly answerable to the ICT Project manager.
The TSS shall also be working as a part of Managed Health Care Program under the Health Director.

DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATION
Hold a Bachelor's Degree (or its equivalents) in Computer Science or its related fields from a reputable institution.Have strong computer skills in Linux, PHP, Server side API's and general IT exposure
Should be creative, outgoing, hard working and self motivated
Should posses high levels of integrity, honest and sense of responsibility Any relevant certification shall be of added advantage to the applicant Three (3) years working experience preferably in reputable institution
Remuneration: Attractive under church based scales
Work Station: ELCT HQ in Arusha with time to time traveling for the TSS position Duration: All positions feature a one year contract renewable upon agreement
