1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit from the World Bank towards the cost of the Local Government Support Project (LGSP, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for
consultant services.
The services to be provided under this consultancy include, formulation of a comprehensive classification and listing of council assets; analysis of operations and maintenance (O&M) expenditures including preparation of O&M requirements in respect of each category of assets; evaluate current Asset management practices; Prepare an Asset Management Strategy, Implementation plan and Asset management information System.
The assignment will be carried out for the period of six (6) months.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
3. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World
Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers

October, 2006.
