Reporting to the Deputy Company Secretary, the Shares Registrar will be responsible for
- Carrying out transfer/transmission and issuing new certificates to the shareholders as per approved policies and procedures.
- Conducting regular updates of shareholders registers.
- Carrying out immobilization of share certificates and issuing jumbo certificates.
- Replacing lost/misplaced share certificates as per the laid down procedures.
- Facilitating payment of dividends once declared by the Board and approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.
- Carrying out dividends accounts reconciliations as per approved policies and procedures as per the laid down procedures.
- Replacing lost/misplaced dividend cheques.
- Sending annual reports and accounts to all company shareholders as notice of the Annual General Meeting and participating in preparing documents for the AGM.
- Filing relevant information/returns with relevant bodies/institutions as required by law.
- Dispatch of investors returns to the Nairobi Stock Exchange, Capital Markets Authority and Central Depository & Settlement Corporation as per laid down procedures.
- Preparing timely and accurate reports in regard to shares procedures.
- Ensuring that the required resources are available i.e. printing of dividend warrants, certificates and stationery.
- Supervising, appraising staff and identifying their development and training needs.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned.
Appointment Requirements/Qualifications
Applications should be in possession of the following:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business related Field or Law or a Certified Public Secretary (CPS).
- At least five (5) years relevant work experience in Shares Registration Services.
- IT user skills.
- A high degree of initiative, analytical thinking, attention to detail and self driven.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Assertive and team player.
