This highly regarded International Financial Institution involved in international banking and the promotion of trade (the “Bank”) is looking to recruit a number of suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following exciting and highly challenging professional positions:

Job Requirements

Entry into the organization’s professional category requires that candidates hold a superior first degree (not below a second class lower honours degree) from a leading University in either Economics, Finance, Law, Business Administration, Computer Science or other disciplines relevant to the position.
Candidates must also hold at least a post graduate degree from a reputable University in the relevant discipline or an internationally recognised professional qualification in the relevant field in lieu.
Candidates must be fluent in either English or French with a working knowledge of the other and with demonstrable success working in a multicultural environment. Work experience with leading financial institutions in Africa would be a distinct advantage.

Senior Manager, Internal Audit

The candidate must have a minimum of 1 0 years experience of planning, designing and conducting audits as well as preparing appropriate audit reports for senior management and the Board of Directors. They will also have experience in carrying out risk based audits and ensuring quality control of internal audit processes, buttressed by demonstrable knowledge and experience of applying International Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IPPF Standards) and/or other internationally recognised internal audit conventions to business processes.
Candidates for this position will be required to have, on top of a superior first degree, either a higher degree from a reputable University in a relevant discipline with an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA) and at least 1 0 years working experience, 5 of which should be with a leading international audit firm or a professional internal audit qualification (CIA, CFSA) and at least 1 0 years ofrelevant experience in an international commercial environment.

Manager, Legal Services

The candidate must have a minimum of8 years experience ofpreparing loan documentation for delivery of a variety of financial services, including trade and project finance, guarantees, syndicated loans, export credit agency- backed financing with familiarity of euro-credit loan documentation.
He/She must also be experienced in loans negotiations and negotiating treaties and related agreements. He/She must also have experience in, loan terms restructuring and foreclosure practices, with exposure to company secretarial work and international banking practices. The candidate is expected to have a professional legal/bar qualification
and demonstrate abilityto workwithin tight deadlines.

Manager, Trade Finance

The candidate is expected to have a minimum of 8 years of experience in originating and completing trade finance transactions across a spectrum ofsectors in different countries.The candidate must have the ability to prepare annual business development plans, covering all aspects of international trade finance as well as the ability to translate these plans into real business for the Bank from all segments of the trade finance market.
For example, these plans would include expanding the Bank’s factoring, structured trade finance, forfeiting and remittance-backed business, establishing ties with market participants, including African banks that are designated Trade Finance Intermediaries of the Bank, corporates and commodity traders and bodies. The candidate must be very conversant with the African trade finance market. He/She must also be versatile in designing schemes and road shows for establishing market presence with emphasis on broadening the geographic scope ofthe Bank’s activities.

Assistant Manager, IT Services

The candidate will be required to have a minimum of5 years ofproven specialist experience in various cutting edge ICT skills including the administration of networks, workstations and utilizing one or more TCP/IP networking protocols on a Windows server based operating system.They are also expected to have the ability to recommend and evaluate procurement of required hardware and software based on an agreed procurement plans.
In addition they must have hands on skills in investigating user problems, identifying their source, determining possible solutions, testing and implementing solutions. Other required skills include demonstrable experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining personal computers, file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related devices and systems as well as performing software and application development, installation, and upgrades.
Also required is good knowledge of planning and implementing network security on ICT systems. Experience in the implementation of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or other banking oriented software is highly desirable.
